To support this dynamic workflow, we’re excited to introduce a simple but powerful update to the LiveOps interface: horizontally resizable panels.

What is the New Feature?

You now have the ability to drag and slide the dividers between the main panels in your LiveOps view. This allows you to dynamically change the horizontal size of the:

• Map Panel

• Livestream Panel

• Chat Panel

• Shareable Links Panel

The Purpose: A Live Operations View That Adapts to Your Mission

This feature is all about giving you control and allowing you to prioritize your focus based on the task at hand. Here’s why this matters:

• Focus on What's Critical: If you are actively piloting a drone or monitoring a critical video feed, you can now expand the Livestream panel to get a larger, more detailed view. You can shrink the chat or links panels to minimize distractions and dedicate more screen real-estate to the live video.

• Enhance Situational Awareness: During a wide-area search or when tracking multiple assets, the Map panel is your most important tool. You can now enlarge it to see more of the operational area, track assets more clearly, and review map layers without excessive zooming or panning.

• Improve Team Coordination: When an incident requires heavy communication and coordination, a narrow chat window can be frustrating. You can now widen the Chat panel to see more of the conversation history at a glance, reducing the need to scroll and helping you stay on top of rapid-fire messages and updates.

• Streamline Information Sharing: If your primary role is managing information for external stakeholders, you can expand the Shareable Links panel to get a clear, organized view of all active links, manage their settings, and share them more efficiently.

This user interface improvement is designed to make the LiveOps platform more flexible and responsive. Your workspace should work for you, not the other way around. With resizable panels, you can instantly configure your view to match the exact needs of your operation.

In public safety operations, every second counts and clear information can be the difference between success and failure. We are rolling out a software update for the DJI Dock that improves its thermal imaging capabilities, providing you with a more powerful tool for search and rescue, firefighting, and incident command.

This update gives you direct control over how the thermal camera visualizes heat, allowing your team to adapt to rapidly changing tactical situations.

What is the New Feature?

With the latest update, operators can now switch between different thermal color palettes in real-time. Instead of a single, default thermal view, your team can instantly select the visualization that best suits the mission environment and objective.

Why This Matters for First Responder Missions

This enhanced control provides tangible advantages when deploying the DJI Dock for emergency operations:

• Faster Subject Detection in Search & Rescue (SAR): Finding a missing person is a race against time. The ability to switch palettes allows an operator to find the best color contrast to make a human heat signature stand out against challenging backgrounds, whether it's dense foliage at night, a rubble field, or open water. This can significantly reduce search times.

• Pinpointing Hotspots and Dangers in Fires: For fire departments, this feature is invaluable. One palette might be ideal for cutting through smoke to identify the seat of a fire, while another can be used during overhaul to find hidden hotspots in walls and ceilings, preventing reignition. It also helps in identifying hazardous material tanks that may be overheating.

• Improved Situational Awareness for Incident Command: Clear intelligence is key to command decisions. By adjusting the thermal view, you can provide commanders with the most actionable imagery, whether it's tracking a suspect's heat trail, monitoring team locations, or identifying areas that are unsafe for personnel to enter.

• Reduced Operator Strain in High-Stress Events: During a prolonged or intense incident, staring at a single thermal display can cause fatigue. Allowing the operator to select a palette that is clearer or more intuitive to them reduces cognitive load, helping them stay focused and effective for longer.

When an incident occurs during a mission, a clear and detailed report is essential. To help you create more complete incident documentation, we’ve updated our reporting feature. These improvements are designed to automatically pull relevant information from the mission directly into your incident report, saving you time and adding critical context.

Here is a breakdown of the updates:

1. Weather Conditions Logged at the Time of Incident

• What it is: The incident report now shows the weather conditions recorded during the mission at the moment the incident is logged.

• Purpose: This provides an objective record of the environmental factors when the incident took place. It adds important context for later review without requiring manual entry.

2. Relevant Team Members Included in Incident Reports

• What it is: The incident report can now display the team members who were active in the mission when the incident occurred.

• Purpose: This helps document which personnel were on duty or potentially involved. It clarifies the human element of the situation, making it easier to follow up or conduct a review.

3. Mission Equipment Listed in the Incident Report

• What it is: Key equipment in use during the mission can now be automatically included in the incident report.

• Purpose: By logging the mission assets that were active or nearby, you create a more complete picture of the operational setup. This is useful for understanding the resources involved and for post-mission asset tracking.

4. Mission Playback

• What it is: You can now access the relevant portion of the overall mission playback directly from the incident report.

• Purpose: This allows anyone reviewing the incident to quickly see the broader sequence of events from the mission timeline that occurred before, during, and after the incident was reported. It provides valuable context for understanding the cause and effect of the event.

5. More Comprehensive and Flexible Incident Exports

• What it is: The PDF export for a single incident has been updated to be more complete and customizable.

• Purpose: This improves your final documentation in two ways:

  • More Complete: The PDF export of an incident can now include all the contextual mission data mentioned above—weather, team, and equipment—creating a thorough, standalone report.

  • Customizable: You now have the option to choose which sections you want in the final PDF. This allows you to tailor the incident report for different audiences, whether it’s for internal review or for an external authority.

These updates are focused on making your incident reporting process more efficient and the resulting documents far more informative.

We've just released Waypoint Patterns, a new tool that automatically generates a flight path to scout a designated area.

Instead of drawing each waypoint by hand, simply outline the zone you need to cover. The tool creates an efficient pattern for you.

This feature is particularly useful for first responders. For search and rescue or damage assessment missions, it saves valuable time and ensures systematic coverage of the search area, allowing teams to deploy more quickly.

Waypoint Patterns are available now in your mission editor in the Drone Operations Center (DOC).

Map Enlargement (Android) | With just one tap, you can now easily switch between the camera view and the map view during your mission. It is also possible to customize the map by choosing your preferred map style for a better mission overview.

Joystick Support (Drone Operations Center) | You can now use a joystick to control your drone. Connect the joystick and enjoy a smoother flight experience.

This feature is currently available for the Thrustmaster T16000M joystick and the Enterprise plan. Stay tuned for further updates.

This month's updates bring greater situational awareness and safety to your mission planning. Get a direct camera view from your ground station and access real-time local weather information before takeoff. We've also enhanced our maintenance tools: you can now set battery cycle limits for maintenance and receive email reminders when your assets are due for service. Plus, easily download and share incident reports as PDFs to ensure compliance and improve safety.

3D Waypoints | It is now possible to have a 3D visualization of your mission’s waypoints. You can also visualize the differences in height of your flight plan from each point.

Map Layer Customization | You can now customize your map layers by uploading your GEOJson or KML to our platform. By doing so, you can have better customization for your organization’s drone operations. This feature is only available for the Enterprise plan.

Temperature Measurement (Android app) | When using the thermal camera, you can select a specific point on the screen to see the temperature of that particular point or object.

Media Auto-Delete (DOC) | You can now set an auto-delete function for all your media. Based on your organization’s needs or requirements, you can adjust the number of days before the system will run the auto-delete. This feature is only available for Business and Enterprise plans.

Waypoint Missions Bulk Editing (DOC) | Instead of editing the waypoints individually, it is now possible to edit your waypoints all in one go.

The updated user interface for the files is now more intuitive and user-friendly, allowing for seamless navigation, easier file management, and a more efficient overall experience.

The cockpit information has been improved to include aircraft health and status messages. Additionally, you can now view the drone’s RTK signal directly within the cockpit. This feature is available for enterprise users.

Our new feature enables you to record live streams from the “Live Operations” feature. These recordings are conveniently stored and can be accessed anytime by navigating to Library > Files > Recordings.  This feature is available for the enterprise subscription.

Introducing Mission Playback: Review and Analyze Your Drone Missions

We’re introducing Mission Playback, a new feature that allows you to review and analyze your drone missions directly within the AirHub platform. With Mission Playback, you can replay the entire flight path and actions taken during a mission, offering valuable insights for training and operational enhancement.

How It Works: Mission Playback is compatible with missions executed using the Android AirHub Ground Control App, DJI Pilot 2 with Cloud API, or DJI Dock.

Benefits:

• Gain valuable insights for training and improving operations.

Introducing Our New Internal Mission Approvals Feature

We’ve added a new feature to help ensure compliance with company policies and regulations in drone operations: Internal Mission Approvals. Now, pilots can submit mission plans for internal review and approval directly within the AirHub platform.

How to Activate Internal Mission Approvals:

1. Go to the Drone Operations Center

2. Go to your organization workspace.

3. Select Manage > Organizations > Settings.

4. Enable the internal mission approvals option.

5. Optional: Overruling option for minor changes or urgent situations, non-administrators can override approvals as needed.

Streamlined Review Process: With this feature, every new mission will require internal review by an administrator. Administrators will receive notifications and can either approve or reject the mission plan.

Note: This feature requires at least a Business subscription.

The AirHub Platform now offers both Imperial and Metric unit support, allowing users to switch between their preferred measurement system. Adjust your preference conveniently within the app's settings or through your profile in the Drone Operation Center.

With custom markers, you can mark all the elements that are relevant to your mission. Think of where you want your observers to be, where the car is going to be located, if there are any known obstacles etc. This way, you can easily visualize the whole process and all the aspects that you have to take into account.

This feature enables operators to view the distance between waypoints, providing insight into the traveling distance for each leg of the mission. This information helps operators plan with greater accuracy, resulting in smoother and more efficient flights.

We are excited to announce the release of the improved maintenance feature, designed to streamline the management of maintenance tasks and maximize efficiency.

One of the most significant benefits of our new feature is the ability to set maintenance intervals based on timeframes, flight hours, or the number of flights. This makes scheduling maintenance tasks much more accurate and efficient, ensuring that operational managers can prioritize maintenance tasks appropriately.

It’s also possible to attach multiple assets to to a single maintenance item and assign it to a member of the team.

Also the maintenance overview got an overhaul and now includes indicators that highlight when maintenance is due, providing an easy-to-understand overview of asset status. There are progress bars that provide a clear visual indication of each asset’s maintenance status, with green indicating up-to-date maintenance, yellow indicating maintenance due soon, and red indicating overdue maintenance. This allows managers to quickly identify assets that require attention.

Once an asset requires maintenance, completing the task is easy. Simply click the “plus” button, fill in the notes, costs, and completion date, and complete any connected checklists to confirm all required tasks have been carried out. Our feature will automatically recalculate the maintenance interval after completion.

Finally, our comprehensive maintenance history feature allows for efficient tracking of repair history and costs, providing valuable insights into maintenance trends and enabling data-driven decisions about maintenance strategies.

This mode allows users to orient themselves more easily and accurately when using the map to plan and execute drone missions. With the compass mode, the map will automatically rotate to align with the Operators’ heading, providing a more intuitive and immersive experience. This feature is especially helpful for drone operators who need to get a good overview of complex terrain or areas with limited visibility.

The new Mission Planner in the AirHub Drone Operation Center is a powerful tool that allows pilots to plan drone missions ahead of time. This can be especially useful for complex missions, as it allows flight operation managers to carefully map out their flight paths and ensure that the pilots in the field have all the necessary information and resources at their disposal. The Mission Planner is user-friendly and easy to use, making it accessible to users of all experience levels.

Get a better overview of your schedule with our improved calendar view. The new design allows for easier navigation and increased visibility of your upcoming missions. With just one click, you can quickly view the details of a mission, including location and attendees, making it easier to stay organized and on top of your schedule.

Introducing a new risk analysis feature in our mission planner at Drone Operation Center. The feature allows users to add a risk analysis to flight plans, which can then be viewed by pilots in the field. The pilots can easily open the flight details and see all potential risks at a glance and see the mitigation measure to reduce the risk during the mission, providing them with the necessary information to make more informed decisions and ensure safety during the operation.

The new AI overlay on streaming feed uses advanced computer vision to detect objects and persons in real-time. This innovative feature enhances the viewing experience by automatically identifying and labeling elements within the video stream.

A new feature has been added to the ”Mission Planner”. It’s now possible to create templates for drone missions to save you tons of time. This is especially useful if you have to plan similar or identical missions to the ones you’ve done before.

These templates include information such as fly zones, waypoints, drone and battery specification, and even risk analysis. No more need to enter the same mission over and over again.

The new ”Personal Compliance” feature gives users the possibility to compile all information necessary to stay current in one place. Think of the pilot and medical certificates, the number of hours flown and the required number of flight hours needed.

This feature is especially useful for professional drone pilots who need to maintain their certification and comply with regulations. To set this up, go to your account in the Drone Operation Center and click on ”compliance”, the rest will be clear from there on.

Introducing a powerful new feature for aviation enthusiasts – the ability to add tags to your flight plans! Now, when using the mission planner or editing a flight from your logbook, you’ll have the option to assign tags to your flights for improved organization and searchability. And because the tags are customizable, you can use them however you like to best suit your needs.

Flying a drone with secure data mode is a great way to ensure that your data is kept private and secure. Secure data mode is a feature that prevents data from being transmitted to unknown sources while the drone is in flight. To use secure data mode, you will need to activate it before takeoff. By following these steps, you can ensure that your data remains secure and private while flying your drone. Secure Data Mode is now available for the smart controller and for those with an enterprise subscription.

The new “Training and Skills” feature in the Drone Operation Center is a valuable tool for training managers looking to keep track of the training and skills of their team members. With this feature, managers can easily access and review the training records and skills of their team members, ensuring that they have the necessary knowledge and capabilities. It allows training managers to input specific training and skills requirements and track progress over time.

The feature of Remote Flying via the Drone Operation Center can be accessed through the live airspace and allows users to remotely control their drones. To access the feature, you’ll need to open the cockpit view. From this view, you can take control of the drone.
