Manually Adding a Battery

1.1 Drone Operations Center – Manual Battery Entry Overview

Before you start:
Manually adding a battery gives you complete control over the details recorded in your asset library.
This process is useful for adding new or non-automatically imported batteries, ensuring all essential information such as make, model, capacity, and serial number is properly documented for accurate tracking and compliance.

1.2 How to Manually Add a Battery

Follow these steps to register a new battery manually in AirHub:

  1. Open the AirHub Drone Operations Centre (DOC) and log in to your account.

  2. Select the correct Workspace from the Workspace switcher in the top navigation bar.

  3. Navigate to the Assets section in the left-hand sidebar and expand it.

  4. Click on Batteries.

  5. In the header at the top of the page, click the + New button.

  6. A form will appear where you can enter all required details, including:
    Battery Name
    • Manufacturer and Model
    • Serial Number
    • Firmware Version (if applicable)

    • Number of battery cycles

  7. When all details are entered, press Save.

  8. Your new battery will appear in your asset library, ready to be assigned to flights, maintenance schedules, or operational projects.

Your battery is now successfully registered in AirHub.

1.3 Important Notes

Serial Number Accuracy:
For smart batteries, the Serial Number is used to track charge cycles, health, and usage within your flight logs.
Ensure that the number you enter exactly matches the serial number printed on the physical battery. Incorrect entries can prevent automatic tracking or link flight data to the wrong asset.

Data Completeness:
Providing full details for every battery ensures consistent reporting and better insights into performance, usage, and maintenance.

1.4 Importing Batteries from DJI

If you operate DJI drones, you can easily import your batteries, drones, and equipment directly from the DJI Cloud.
This process also retrieves older flight data, allowing you to populate your workspace quickly and accurately.
