  • Pre-flight, In-flight, and Post-flight checklists ensure that critical safety and operational checks are consistently performed during a mission.

  • Maintenance checklists provide a structured guide for technicians to follow during scheduled service, ensuring no steps are missed.

This process enhances safety, ensures consistency across your team, and creates a clear record of compliance.

1. How to Create a New Checklist

This first stage involves creating the main checklist "shell" and defining its properties.

  1. Select the workspace you want to create the checklist for from the Workspace switcher.

  2. Go to the Library section in the sidebar and click on Checklists.

  3. Click on the + New button in the header.

  4. A form will be presented. Fill in the following information:

    • Name of the checklist:

      • Purpose: To give your checklist a clear and recognizable title.

      • Example: "Pre-Flight Safety Check - M300" or "100-Hour Airframe Inspection".

    • Checklist Type:

      • Purpose: To categorize the checklist for its intended use. This determines where it can be attached (e.g., a Pre-flight checklist can be attached to the pre-flight phase of a mission).

      • Example: Pre-flight, In-flight, Post-flight, or Maintenance.

    • Purpose of the checklist:

      • Purpose: To provide a brief explanation of the checklist's goal for other users.

      • Example: "This checklist covers all required safety checks before powering on the aircraft."

    • Assign to a team: (This option appears when creating from an organizational workspace)

      • Purpose: To make this checklist available for use by a specific team.

      • Example: "Inspection Team".

  5. Click Save. You will be directed to the checklist editor to start adding the individual checklist items.

2. How to Add Checklist Items

Now that the base checklist is created, you need to add the specific items that will be checked off.

  1. In the checklist editor, click on the plus (+) button to add a new checklist item.

  2. A form for the new item will be shown. Fill in the details:

    • Title of the checklist item:

      • Purpose: The specific, actionable task that needs to be performed.

      • Example: "Check Propellers for Damage" or "Verify Battery Levels > 95%".

    • Description (Optional):

      • Purpose: To provide extra instructions, context, or clarification for the checklist item.

      • Example: "Inspect all propeller blades for cracks, chips, or warping."

  3. Click Save to finalize the item.

Repeat this process for all the items you need to add to your checklist. You can also reorder them as needed by dragging and dropping.
