Creating a New Checklist

1.1 Drone Operations Center – Checklist Overview

Before you start:

Checklists in AirHub are designed to ensure that all safety, maintenance, and operational tasks are performed consistently across every mission and service cycle.

Pre-flight, In-flight, and Post-flight checklists help pilots and operators perform critical safety checks at every phase of a mission.
Maintenance checklists guide technicians through scheduled servicing, ensuring no step is missed.

By following structured checklists, your team enhances safety, ensures consistency, and maintains a clear record of compliance.

1.2 How to Create a New Checklist

This first step involves creating the main checklist “shell” and defining its core properties.

  1. Select the workspace where you want to create the checklist using the Workspace Switcher, from the Workspace tab.

  2. Then, open the Library from the navigation bar and click on Checklists.

  3. Click the + button at the top right corner of the screen.

  4. A form will appear, fill in the following details:

Name of the checklist

  • Purpose: Give your checklist a clear and recognisable title.

  • Example: Pre-Flight Safety Check – M300 or 100-Hour Airframe Inspection.

Checklist Type

  • Purpose: Categorise the checklist based on its intended use. This determines where it can be attached (e.g. a Pre-flight checklist can be linked to the pre-flight phase of a mission).

  • Example: Pre-flight, In-flight, Post-flight, or Maintenance.

Purpose of the checklist

  • Purpose: Provide a short explanation of the checklist’s goal for other users.

  • Example: This checklist covers all required safety checks before powering on the aircraft.

  1. Click Save to create the checklist.

Once saved, you’ll be directed to the Checklist Editor, where you can begin adding individual checklist items.

1.3 How to Add Checklist Items

Now that the checklist base has been created, you can start adding the individual tasks that must be completed.

  1. From the Checklist list, press your newly made checklist, click the + button in the top right corner of your screen to create a new checklist item.

  2. Fill in the form with the following details:

Title of the checklist item

  • Purpose: Define the specific, actionable task that needs to be performed.

  • Example: Check propellers for damage or Verify battery levels > 95%.

Description (optional)

  • Purpose: Provide extra context or detailed instructions to guide the user.

  • Example: Inspect all propeller blades for cracks, chips, or warping.

  1. Click Save to finalise the item.

  2. Repeat this process for all required checklist items.

  3. To reorder items, drag and drop them into the desired sequence.

1.4 Summary

Creating checklists in AirHub ensures that all operational and maintenance tasks are performed systematically and recorded accurately.
By defining checklist types and adding detailed items, you create a clear, repeatable process that improves safety, compliance, and efficiency across your organisation.
