Missions and Logbook explained
1.1 Ground Control – Missions and Logbook
Before you start:
In AirHub, your logbook is integrated within the Missions section. Some users may expect a separate “Logbook” tab, but AirHub combines these features to simplify workflows. Every flight you perform is stored as a mission record, containing all operational data for tracking and compliance.
This design ensures:
• A single, unified view of flight activities.
• Direct access to telemetry, media, and documentation.
• Full traceability from planning to post-flight review.
1.2 Understanding Missions and the Logbook
The Missions module functions as both a planning tool and a logbook.
Mission: A planned or executed drone operation containing all relevant flight parameters, assigned pilots, equipment, and mission state (such as Draft, Ready, or Completed).
Logbook: The historical record of all your flights. In AirHub, each completed mission is automatically added to your logbook, eliminating the need for manual data entry.
This integration allows for efficient compliance tracking and ensures every flight is properly documented.
1.3 Mission Tabs in Ground Control
Within the Ground Control app, the Missions page contains three tabs that separate different stages of your operations:
Draft
• Shows missions still in preparation.
• These can be edited, updated, or saved as templates for reuse.Calendar
• Displays all scheduled or approved missions.
• Helps coordinate upcoming operations and pilot availability.Templates
• Stores predefined mission setups for repetitive or standardised tasks.
• You can adjust these templates on-site for quick planning.
1.4 Viewing Missions by Workspace
There are two types of workspaces;
Personal Workspace:
Displays all missions you have completed across every organisation you are part of. This acts as your personal flight logbook.Organisational Workspace:
Displays all missions belonging to a specific organisation or team. You will only see missions that fall within your assigned workspace or team.
Extra workspace, within an Organisational Workspace;
Admin Workspace:
Provides an overview of every mission conducted under your organisation. Admins can view all team missions, including historical flights and compliance data.
1.5 Why Missions Serve as Your Logbook
AirHub’s combined Mission Logbook system is designed to:
• Eliminate duplicate record keeping.
• Automatically register flight data for compliance.
• Maintain a single source for planning, flying, and reviewing operations.
• Provide complete traceability for audits, training, and reporting.
Every mission, whether manually planned or automatically logged through DJI Dock or other connected services, becomes part of your permanent operational record.
1.6 Summary
In AirHub, the Missions section is more than a planning tool. It serves as your operational logbook, giving you access to both past and upcoming flights in one central location. Whether planning a new mission, reviewing completed operations, or filtering for compliance checks, AirHub ensures that your drone activity remains efficient, traceable, and transparent.
