How to: Create a Training

Establishing a robust training and skills program is fundamental to ensuring your team operates safely, effectively, and in compliance with regulations. Tracking training allows you to verify that all personnel are qualified for their assigned roles, identify skill gaps, and maintain a clear record of certifications and proficiencies. The AirHub training module helps you formalize this process by creating, assigning, and tracking training requirements for your entire organization.

1.1 Drone Operation Center – Creating a New Training

Before you start:
Creating and managing training modules is an administrative function within the AirHub platform. This allows organizations to assign, track, and verify staff training and certifications efficiently.

Make sure you have:

  • Administrative permissions in your organizational workspace.

  • Access to the Admin Workspace (selected via the workspace switcher).

  • The necessary information about the training, such as title, role, and frequency.

Once ready, follow the steps below to create a new training.

1.2 Steps to Create a Training

  1. Select your Admin Workspace

    • Ensure you are in your main Admin Workspace by using the workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar.

    • Only administrators can create and manage trainings within this workspace.

  2. Navigate to the Training and Skills section

    • In the sidebar, go to Manage → Training and Skills.

    • This opens the overview of all existing training modules.

  3. Create a new training

    • Click the + New button in the header to start creating a new training.

    • A form will appear with several fields to complete.

  4. Fill in training details

    • Title (Required): The official name of the training or certification.

      • Example: “DJI Matrice 350 Flight Training” or “Annual Emergency Procedures Review.”

    • Description (Optional): Briefly describe what the training covers, its objectives, or prerequisites.

    • Category (Optional): Group similar trainings under a shared category (e.g., Regulatory, Safety Procedures, Equipment).

    • Select a Role (Required): Assign the training to a specific role (e.g., Pilot, Observer).

      • All users with this role will be required to complete the training.

    • Recurring (Optional): Check this box if the training must be repeated periodically.

      • Specify how often it should be renewed (e.g., every 12 or 24 months).

    • Upload a File (Optional): Add supporting materials such as a syllabus, certificate template, or reference guide.

  5. Save your training

    • When all fields are complete, click Save.

    • The new training will now appear in the Training Overview list.

  6. Track training progress

    • Once created, the training becomes available for all members assigned to the selected role.

    • Admins can track completion status and renewal dates directly from the overview.
