Understanding Workspaces in the Ground Control App

Before you start
Workspaces in the AirHub Ground Control app determine what data you see and interact with. Each workspace represents a different operational context , such as your personal account, an organization, or a specific team, and switching between them ensures you’re viewing the correct missions, assets, and members.

1.1 The Purpose of Workspaces

The Ground Control app supports multiple workspaces so pilots and operators can easily switch between personal use and organizational operations.
Each workspace has its own missions, drones, batteries, teams, and libraries. This separation ensures data stays organized and accessible to only the right users.

You might use different workspaces for:

  • Personal flights you perform independently.

  • Organizational operations managed by your company or agency.

  • Specific teams within an organization, such as inspection units or emergency response groups.

1.2 Types of Workspaces in Ground Control

Within the Ground Control app, you may have access to the following workspace types:

  • Personal Workspace – This is your individual environment where you can plan missions, log flights, and manage your own drones and equipment. Data here is visible only to you.

  • Organizational Workspace – Represents your company or agency’s shared environment. Assets, missions, and members in this workspace are shared across all teams under the same organization.

  • Team Workspace – A focused workspace for a specific group of users, such as departments or project teams. Missions, drones, and media here are only visible to that team’s members.

Each workspace operates independently, so data and permissions do not overlap unless you are a member of multiple workspaces.

1.3 Switching Between Workspaces

You can switch workspaces directly in the Ground Control app.

  1. Open the AirHub Ground Control app.

  2. From the navigation bar, select Workspace

  3. Tap your profile Picture and workspace name in the main bar.

  4. A list of all workspaces you have access to will appear.

  5. Tap on the workspace you want to switch to.

Once switched, all missions, assets, and settings shown in the app will automatically update to match the selected workspace.

1.4 Why Selecting the Correct Workspace Matters

Selecting the correct workspace is important because your Ground Control app will only display data linked to the active workspace.
This includes:

  • Drones, batteries, and other assets stored under that workspace.

  • Missions and flight logs belonging to the selected team or organization.

  • Media, documents, and checklists associated with that workspace.

Note: If you’re not seeing the data you expect, double-check that you are in the correct workspace.
