1. Enabling Mission Approvals

Note: You must have administrative permissions within an organizational workspace to enable or disable this feature.

Follow these steps to turn on the internal mission approval workflow:

  1. First, ensure you have selected your Admin Workspace from the Workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar.

  2. Navigate to the Manage section in the sidebar.

  3. Click on the Organization menu item.

  4. Select the Settings tab.

  5. Find the Internal mission approval list item and toggle the switch to the 'on' position.

With this setting enabled, all new mission plans will be submitted for approval before they can be executed.

Important: Disabling internal mission approval does not affect missions from the past or existing missions that were created while the feature was active. The approval requirement is only removed for missions created after the setting has been turned off.

2. Configuring the Pilot Override Option (Optional)

For added flexibility, you can give pilots the ability to override the approval requirement in urgent situations.

Next to the main approval toggle, you will see an option that allows an internal approval to be overruled by the pilot. If you enable this, pilots can proceed with a modified or unapproved mission if a situation arises that cannot wait for a manager's approval.

To ensure accountability, enabling this override requires the pilot to submit a written reason for their action. This justification is logged and can be reviewed by a manager later, maintaining a clear record of all operational decisions.
